Feature and Follow Friday #4

Hosted by Alison Can Read and Parajunkee

Question: What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don't like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!

I've never really thought about my pet peeves when it comes to ready, unless I find the book rather boring, that bugs me to no end. So let me take a minute and ponder this question....
  1. Anti-climatic: For some I don't think it bothers them, but for me it dries my head in. The book is going at an amazing pace and I'm getting ready for this huge climax and nothing. Its a let down to have my heart ponding for what is store to only find out that the author made a terrible decision to decrease the suspense for something useless that could have been left out the book.
  2. Spelling errors: I've noticed these lately when it comes to reading first edition books. I understand a few mistakes here and there with ARC's but with an actual book that has been printed for the public that should be a no on so many levels. The authors have editors for a reason and I'm sure a few people should go through the manuscript before its given the green light for mass production?

Question: In light of 11.11.11 and Veteran's Day tell us about your favorite solider and how he or she is saving the world. Fictional or real life.

That is a tough one to answer. I can say my great uncle whom went missing in World War II, never having met him but knowing that he put his country and the world first ahead of mourning the loss of his mother makes him an amazing hero in my books.

Fictional: The only one that I've read would be the dashing Jasper Hale from Twilight but if you look at the fallen angels series there are those that fought on the side of Heaven and G-d and the others on Lucifer's side, so for me it would have to be the all handsome Daniel from the Fallen series...

Q.If you could pick one character in a book, movie or television show to swap places with, who would it be?

Well let me start with my favourite books:

Twilight: I would love to Bella, to spend the rest of eternity with Edward whom just happens to be the perfect gentleman. I would take all the obstacles that have been thrown in their way just to prove that the truest form of love does actually exist.

Hush Hush: Nora would be fun. Falling in love with an angel whose first intention was to kill you but fell in love with you instead. Patch would do anything to protect Nora and we don't find many men in this world like that

Movies:

Any of the female leads from The Covenant, What a girl wants and Sleepover.

Q. In some books like the Sookie Stackhouse series the paranormal creature in question "comes out of the closet" and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you wish this would happen with in real life?
That is a very interesting question to ask. I've read so many paranormal books that it's hard to say which one I would prefer to happen in real life. I love them all actually so I'm caught at a crossroads on this particular question so at the moment my brain is working overtime to find the most suitable paranormal creature. I've read a few novels that have had angels in them and for me one of the books have stood out the most HEAVENLY, the way the main character found out that her sister had a guardian angel touched me deeply and I found that to be pretty profound. So I think for that would be an awesome "comes out the closet" moment to be carried into real life :)
I can only imagine what it would feel like to love someone that you cannot touch or whom is just out of reach but at the same time is a guardian angel to sister....I would love to hear your thoughts.
                                                              Happy Reading Friday!!
